Discuss > Bottom Line: Jets 5-3, Packers 4-4

Both the Jets and Packers had tough road games today. The Favre led Jets came through. The Packers did not.
From what I saw of the Packer game it looks like their defense couldn't make the stop when it mattered. Could it be coaching?
The Packers are going to have a hard time getting above .500 which does not bode well for TT & MM.
The Jets are going to find a way into the Playoffs.- take it to the bank!

You didn't watch the Packers game did you, so please stop commentating like you did. The Packers defense played greatly for most of the game, but let up some plays later on that hurt us. Please, stop thinking about the Packers for this year, as you're a disgrace to Packer fans everywhere. Just be a Jets fan for the rest of the year and ignore us, we don't want anything to do with you anymore. Stop living in the past.

Drew, NEWSFLASH! This website was set up and is designed to support Brett Favre.

You need to put on your thinking cap and figure that out.

November 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPat

Drew, also, when the Packer game and Jets game are on at the same time I primarily watch the Jets game but keep track of the Packer game by flicking over to it regularly.
You & your cronies comment on Favre's play all the time yet with your logic you couldn't have watched the entire Jets game and have no right to comment on Favre's play.
The Packers displayed the same defensive problem they have had for several years now(and I blame that on coaching) When it is pinch time they can't stop anyone.
Your inconsistent logic has big holes in it. Use some better critical thinking before you write your next post.

November 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPat

Drew, another thought: You say "we"don't want anything to do with you anymore..."
Just who is "we"? Are you talking about the other geniuses like "some guy"? You must be real proud to count that vulgar moron your ally?
Way to go!

November 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPat

I am rather proud you find my vulgarity worthy of mentioning. Thanks for the 'Pat' on the back. Huahaha. Damn I'm fucking funny.

November 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSome Guy

Its a public place, if you don't like me being here than deal with it. Sorry to go all cliche, but this is a free country and I can form an opinion and it doesn't have to be one that conforms to the site that I am on. Seriously, I can think what I want.

And while I haven't seen all of each Jets game, I've seen enough to KNOW that the Jets are winning these games because of more than just Brett, but you guys seem hell bent on giving him all the credit in the world, that's my main problem. If you wouldn't simplify the game down to just Brett and wins/losses I wouldn't be complaining. But no, you have to find every single opportunity to give your "hero" some credit. As if ESPN doesn't do it enough!

Also, don't criticize my critical thinking, as you're the one who is so obsessed at having TT and MM fired that at any sign of a problem you instantly call for their heads, ignoring the many great things they have done for this team.

Finally, so what if some guy is often vulgar? Yeah, its not often necessary but nowhere does vulgarity=stupidity. In fact, some of the people who have the most to say intellectually say it in a vulgar way, you're just too stuck up in your proper ways to see that they could offer anything intelligent. Seriously, get over yourself, we get it, you don't swear! Congratufuckinglations!

November 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDrew

The Packers are in big trouble; they can't close a game out and the defense cannot hold up. Fitting to watch Woodson having his hat handed to him as well on a few plays for all of the talking that he's done since Favre has left. I'm with you on this Pat; Favre and the Jets will be in the playoffs and Ted's "annointed one" along with the Packers will be wondering what happened this year.

November 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTroy S. Meinolf

Drew, you are a joke. Nobody said you couldn't express your opinion. I'm just going to make sure to point out when you contradict yourself and make ignorant points. Example: You feel the need to let me know you have the right to express your feeling, yet you are the one who told me your side doesn't want to hear from me anymore ..ON A BRETT FAVRE SUPPORT WEB SITE. By contrast, I never told you that you can't express yourself. Flawed logic ..AGAIN.
Along with your vulgar buddy you guys aren't looking too smart.

Troy, I'm glad you saw the obvious, too. Too bad, the sheep couldn't see it.

November 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPat

No matter what the outcome of this season. You guys know Brett's career is over after it ends. You know, and I know the Jet's aren't going to the playoffss, much less a championship. And if they manage to squeak into the wild card, they'll have their asses handed to them by some 9-7 team when Brett throws 5 more punts in the game.

November 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSome Guy

Anybody notice the Aaron Rodgers (INT)punt? How about the failure to tuck the ball away(FUMBLE)

We have heard for 3 weeks about how poorly Brett has played.

Yet no comments about these errors in a Packer loss.

By the way, the anti-Brett have ripped him for the wins against Arizona (Who's in first?) and Miami (Who's playing the best ball in that division)

Yes, Brett is at the end of his career, what does that do with his status as a winner?

November 4, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRick

Bottom line, Packers and Jets watching playoffs from home.
Bottome line, Packers $30 million under, Jets spent $140 million for same result
Bottom line, Brett still needs more time.
Bottom line, Jets have no coach
Bottom line Rodgers 4038 yards 28TD's 13 INT's
Favre 3472 yards 22 TD's 22 INT's
Bottom line, Rodgers also rushed for 4 TD's, Favre for 1
Bottom line, the Jets have no coach.
Bottom line, TT saw the end of the Legend coming, the Jets didn't, now they are in turmoil.
Bottom Line, TT, along with myself are smarter than all the Favre worshipers.
Bottom line, Pat's statue is now pitted and scarred, anyone have any putty?
Bottom line, too much rubbing on metallic objects can cause skin irritation and a tendancy to spew irrational comments.
Bottom line, still goin' green losers......

Yeah! and 6 wins.

Thank you, I hope to gain a little more brain power before next season. I have been eating lots of fish. Stick with me Vader. Hey!! get it Fish Sticks. I made a funny.

December 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTed

Well at least Ted Thompson has a career ahead of him, can't say the same for Brett Favre. At least TT is an honest man as well.

December 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

Thanks again Tim, If this don't work out, I can go home and take that AD job at the local high school. I can see it now. Hall of Fame AD. They may even hang a plague in the cafeteria.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTed

I think you meant plaque but nice work. It would be pretty nasty to have to quarantine the local High School cafeteria due to an plague of stupidity like you posses.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJohn Campbell

You say some pretty nasty things in your posts John that I don't agree with, but that is pretty damn hilarious.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

"Ted Thompson is an honest man as well" Thanks for the laugh Tim!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAAAA Haaaaa whaaa!!!!!!!!

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

Actually I just wanted to see a reaction on that. I really don't think they wanted Favre here and they were entitled to make that decision. I think that Ted is just as much at fault as Favre for how things went down, but I don't think keeping Favre was the best decision. Again, my opinion.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

Tim I understand that but no matter how they felt about him coming back I think he deserve a shot to at least compete for the starting job again. Fact is they knew he would win it and they didnt want him there. They should have thought it through , had they let him come back they couldve still signed Rodgers and at least save him from the hellish mess of a divided franchise and fan base? And Favre wouldve played better in an offense he was in for 16 years?

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

I don't completely disagree with that. My main problem is how Favre handled things. I don't think Favre plays defense, so how would that resolve the ridiculous amount of points we were giving up? I just don't think we would have faired much better with Favre. If anything Favre might have forced some balls into deep coverage and made it worse. He did have 22 INTS this year.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

Once again, David, you just keep inserting your foot farther and farther into your piehole. Don't you see it?

Lets take a look, TT lies:
Brett had a cell phone
We are not working on a trade to NY or Tampa Bay
Ummmm
Ummmm
Ummmm

And, Brett Favre Lies:
I'm retired
I'm not retired
I just want to play football
I want to play for GB
I don't want to play for the Vikings
I am not a media hound
I don't want to be traded
I am happy to be a Jet
I can still play
My arm is fine
I did not talk to the Lions
I did not talk to the Lions about Packer football
The receiver ran the wrong route (about 306 times)
Need I go on. And I am not even including all the "under the bus" throwing he did running to every news agency in the US after supposed confidential conversations with the Packers, or his post loss pressers when he NEVER took blame for his poor play, or his bullshit interview after the Lions scandal.

Your statue is still getting green.

Tim, no matter how he played, and I believe he would have played a little better in gb than ny, the packers could have kept him 1 more year and told him that was it and he could have retired a packer without all this nonsense.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

A little better in Green Bay unfortunately still would not have measured up to Rodgers stats this year. Trust me, I wanted him back, until he started going on Greta Van Sustrain, etc. I just want him to retire so that he doesn't tarnish his legacy somehow next year. The sooner he retires the sooner we can get him back up here where he belongs and forget this crap ever happened.

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

Greata was probably a bad move but it was the lies that TEd and Mike were spreading that prompted that

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

There was lies proven on both sides. I don't think you can deny that. Favre made some mistakes and so did Ted (I don't put much blame on Mike in this).

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTim Gehrman

John, plaque of stupidity? I'm not sure how to take that!?! I did use my higher draft picks on two qb's (instead of linemen). Who needs linemen anyway. Rodgers is a tough guy. He don't need no stinking blocking. And as far the D line goes, Kampman should be able shed two blockers. And if he can't, HE'S OTTA HERE (you like that word "OTTA"?).

December 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTed

Wow you are a dumb fuck Rick. Check the spelling again. I said Plague, not plaque. Can you read or is the letter q not in your vocabulary you slow fuck? WOW!!! LMAO!!!
