Also throwing ridiculous amounts of interceptions as well. They are winning because they are a good "team."
Yup, and they didn't do thier dance to the god of winning and hold a candelight vigil to ask the gods for forgivness. What exactly is your point. Next thing you will tell me is that it is Karma that has turned the Packers defense into a sieve.
Maybe you should change your post name to"blinded packers fan" Come on you can really believe that a guy who played 16 seasons and set an nfl record for wins, consecutive starts, td passes, and yardage deserved the kind of treatment that he got from these guys ? Maybe Mike shouldve thought about what direction that "train that left the station" was headed? ooops. The worst move in green bay franchise history lays at the feet of Ted and Mike>
No, I think that he let all of that success go to his head and he thought he was bigger then the team. They got fed up with his diva like attitude and constant retirement and didn't invite him back after he "unretired." Best move in Packer's history in my mind. The Packer's are a team not a one man circus.
The point John is that a player of Brett's stature should be allowed to unretire if he so chooses. Hey its my opion and we all have them but for them to handle a guy like Favre the way they did in Green Bay gives the entire organization a huge black eye? just my opinion? Maybe his ability to lead and inspire people around him was overlooked?
No, in my opinion he made one to many mistakes with the Green Bay Packer's. You make a great point when you say a guy of his stature. No, no one player is bigger then the team, not even Brett Favre. I am proud that they stopped letting him hold the organization hostage. I am a Brett Favre fan, but he needed to go. He was no leader. He didn't speak to the other players barely besides Driver. He did no motivating and did nothing to mentor Rodgers.
Made one too many mistakes? Did he win too many games? Did he have too many consecutive starts for the packers? Did he throw too many TD passes? Did he throw for too many yards? What mistakes? Decided to retired after being treated like crap by the organization the last 3 years? He was no leader? Come on John I know better bubby? Didn't speak to the other players? Thats just on outright lie man. How the hell can you say he did nothing to motivate the players around him....thats unbelievable.....and even rodgers said he learned a lot from brett....heck just watch rodgers play and you can see a little of brett's style in that young man's game? Dude whats up? Are you just gonna type bs? I promise you I KNOW the facts so go try and bs some else man... Mike and Ted might listen?
"Come on John I know better bubby?" Are you like a retarded gay guy or what?
Weird man.
Many, many mistakes. Before McCarthy reeled Favre in, he had 3 just awful years. He should have retired then. How did the organization treat him like crap for 3 years? Because they didn't get Randy Moss? Sorry, but that is the GM's job and last time I checked Favre wasn't the GM. He was no leader. Isn't it kind of funny how quickly all of the players started coming to Rodgers defense? That he was truly trying to get to know them. Jennings and Driver both said that Rodgers had a stronger arm as well. That is not BS either. It is well documented that Favre never made speeches before or after games and kept to himself. He himself even said he wasn't outspoken. So don't give me your bs because I know my stuff "pal."
JOHN ? The more you speak the more you reveal how dumb you are man..... McCarthy didnt reel Favre in? Thats ridiculous! Favre was playing with hardly any experience around him in those tough years and still never had a loosing season ....Remember those rebuilding years...hell all the packers had in those years was Favre dude. Are you even a Packers fan? The packers finanally get all the pieces of the puzzle with good young talent around bretts experience and he retires too soon, then when that piece of the puzzle wants to return that helped the team get to 13-3 they act like he's holding them back if he returns? wow? What a bunch of morons!!!!!! Now Ted and Mike have the team at 5-7? Dude Wake Up
Oh yes he did. Look at his numbers from the year before. McCarthy commented before the season even started that he had been working with Brett to correct some mistakes and not turn the ball over as much. So Favre threw almost 30 picks in a season the year before. How can you defend that? By the way, don't call me dumb because you are the one who spelled "losing", "loosing" and "finally", "finanally". I am the biggest Packer fan chief. I have been before Favre was around and I will continue to be. I still like Favre, but I have lost alot of respect for him. I think he and Ted handled things poorly, but Favre put himself in that position. This team would be no better with Favre on it. It has to many issues on defense. Again, you won't respond to that even though I have brought it up multiple times now. We are giving up a record amount of points. Any thoughts on that? Rodgers is having a better statistical season then Favre is. Any comments on that chief? It comes down to the defense allowing 51 points, 35 points, etc. That is just to much. Rodgers has played solid, solid football. Favre is on a very good team and deserves some credit, but I truly feel that if you implanted Rodger's on that team there would be little or no difference. Probably less turnovers that for sure. Sounds like you are a little hot under the collar, maybe you should take a breather David. I appears your hard-on for Favre has yet to go away.
Im a football fan my friend and Im just stating the facts buddy and I have addressed the defensive issues as I told you I believe some of the veterans on the defensive side have lost confindence in the organization over the way they dealt with favre. He's no god thats for sure but he was one hell of a quarterback in green bay for 16 years and is one hell of a qb in ny this year. Your honestly comparing a first year starter to a guy who hasnt missed a game in 16 and 1/2 years? Rodgers in a young and unproven qb buddy and your comparing him with favre? I wish Aaron the best but we might want to wait 13 to 14 years before we start comparing him with favre my friend?
David, I am not your friend, buddy, or whatever other relationship you think we have. You think that the defense is just not playing wll on purpose? You are a fucking idiot dude!!! HILARIOUS!!! They aren't playing well out of spite? ZYou are to much chief! Favre was good in his hayday, but that has long passed. I would take Rodger's over Favre this year in a heartbeat. Rodger's and Favre can only control so much, but Rodger's is statistically having a better year. Favre turns the ball over way to much and will not be able to win the big game (as usual) come December again. I am not comparing either of there careers, I am comparing who I would want now. Any idiot would know you can't compare Favre's career to Rodger's. I never said that. What is with you calling me buddy and friend constantly? Weird fuck.
Listen, I don't think anyone is trying to say that Rodgers is a better QB than Favre is....he is just having a better or equal statistical year to Favre and has proven the naysayers that he can play, play hurt, is not injury prone, and is a leader in the making. However, after seeing Favre's play in the last few years in BIG games, ie Dallas, Bears and Giants, I think it was a prudent time to move on. Him sitting on the sidelines with handwarmers in his face, when "his" team was playing for a spot in the Superbowl still angers me to this day. What happened to the leader? All the nonsense, stupid interviews crying over how he was being treated, his hollier than thow return to GB, his inability to get over things and then the Lions fiasco all add to my ditaste for the man. The Packers are not without fault either, but they needed to make a move. Regardless of who Favre was, a change was needed.
love you john i love you soo much.... that really hurt my feelings and im crying now
You are a creepy dude David.
LMAO at you little johnny
We have our little buddy, Johny Campbell figured out. lol.. ha ha ha.
He is one messed up, maladjusted, sicko.
I almost feel sorry for him but do enjoy seeing him getting crushed on this website.
Holy crap Pat. Shut up would you? Every time someone states an opinion different from your's that means: their childhood sucked, they didn't get along with their mommies, and/or are social deviants who can in no way take part in a normal society. All good points if you're Freud in his heyday on cocaine. He made those exact points you do that have nothing to do with anything the person is stating.
Poor John must not have gotten along with his mother either according to your logic. Because, he has to be insane to not kiss Brett's ass like you so inanely do.
Brett is good
Yet ye got traded
He is very interesting to watch
Don't watch the Jets if you don"t like Brett
I will
Some Real Important Guy, your little buddy Johny fired the first shot at me and I crushed him. Do you want to be next?
Doesn't matter to me. As you can see, I'm clearly far too important to discuss your time management problems. Namely, the time you dedicate to polishing your Brett Favre bronze wang and the the time you set aside to count the tally marks you wrote on the sidewalk in sidewalk chalk outside your mommie's home. (you know, the ones you use to count how many people you have to call 'social deviants' to make you feel better about yourself)
Some real important guy, interesting approach you take..kind of original, I'll give you that.
I will try and explain this nicely. I prefer to talk about the Brett Favre vs. TT and Packer mgmt and leave out the personal stuff. Its only when "John Campbell" feels the need to personally insult everyone he interacts with that I bring out the tactics I used.
"John Campbell" admitted he was 28, has no kids, and brags about how smart he is. He claims to be an investment banker for some big firm. He likes to say that anyone that doesn't agree with him must be a blue color moron.
Anyone with any real life experience would not feel the need to put down blue color workers or state in multiple ways sick, twisted, comments about how we feel about supporting Favre. I would wager to bet, that most of the people, myself included, that support Favre are successful business people with many more years of dealing in the real world than John Campbell. He will be humbled many times over the next 20 years and will realize he is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.
Bottom line: I just find it really humerous and entertaining to take a little break here and there during the day to mock someone like him. I do think he lives with his parents. Obviously, the stock market is not in a good postition. Do you really think in the current state of the economy major players are going to entrust their financial matters to a 28 year old that is full of himself?? Let's get real.
John, when you read this, here is a tip. Rollling your mommy and daddy's 401k money& making your first bonus at your firm does not qualify you a big hitter. Neither does investing your mommy & daddy's close friends or your uncle's money. Successful business relationships are earned over time and mathmatically there is no chance you could have accomplished much of anything in the arena you claim to occupy. Keep living the fantasy and be thankful you don't have to buy your own groceries.
"John Campbell" begged for me(and others to mock, slam him, and make fun of him) For being "so smart" he gave out personal info that makes him easy to ridicule.
John Campbell wasn't even born when most of us were kids giving the Packers 110% support during the David Whitehurst, Lynn Dickey eras. For him to say most of us didn't support the Packers until they won the Super Bowl?? That just shows his age gives him a very limitted perspective.
O.K.- enough said. I will try and focus on football matters again. Hopefully the Jets win and the Packers lose today.
Boy its really good Brett is gone
Otherwise the fans would have to watch
the playoffs at Green Bay in the cold
Playoffs, we're talking about playoffs, there's no playoffs.
With a defense as dismal as this one, the Packers could have Joe Montana back there and would still be losing. Give me a break Dave, 550 yards given up by the defense yesterday? And the offense turned 3 of the 4 Texan turnovers into 21 points, what more do you want. Your comments are as laughable as your blind love for the Jets QB. Start studying the games and put down the polish rag for your bronze shrine to Favre.
Hey "unblinded" are you and John Campbell really TT and MM? The reason I ask is because is sure as hell looks like Ted and Mike have been doing something else with their time instead of managing and coaching the Packers. lol
Good one David!!!
I wish I could have figured that one out first.
Perfect...the only question is which one is TT and which one is MM? Maybe "some real important guy" is howdy doody. lol
Next year Jenkins back
Young team but not that good
Get help from veterans or go
to more young untested players
If they had Joe Montana, there's no doubt they'd be losing. However, Steve Young, Brett Favre, Dan Marino or Terry Bradshaw would be helping them to wins.
Its was funny to me to see Mike McCarthy throw his head set to the ground as the pack fell to 5-8.Yep Ted , Mark and Mike made this "bed" and its just funny as hell watching them have to lay in it together. Great job guys! You destroyed a great franchise lmao!
I guess we ALL know who the heart and soul of the packers was now don't we?
The Packers are now 5-9 and oh the Jets? 9-5!!!!!!!!! lmao at the three stooges in Yellow Bay : Ted , Mark, Mike
A team that goes 13-3 with about the same team should at least be able to go 8-8 the next season. Oh wait, maybe your suppose to build a team from the ground up. Does that mean an 0-16 record next year. What morons. Ted your hometown high school is looking for a athlectic director. And for you who blame this soley on the defense...It's Ted's defense.
You think they'll have me back?
?
Hey Ted, you need a raise buddy. You are the only one that had the balls to do what needed to be done. You traded an aging bitter Legend, took flak for it all season, and once again came out smelling like roses. Nice Job. I look forward to 2009!
Thanks U P F, It's about time I get a little respect. Now let's go out and win one of the last two.
LMAO AT YOU TWO CLOWNS
Funniest post on the New York Post Jets forums this week:
"fat norm wrote:
How come Brett Farve [sic] wont answer the phone at the Farve [sic] household? Cuz' he cant find the reciever [sic]....."
Those sics are for erroneous grammar, you f*ing dolt Favre lovers. Suck on your myopia.
Vader your a moron
Vader, go play with your Star Wars Dolls.
The packers finish their dissmal season at 6-10. Fantastic job Ted, Mark and Mike aka the three stooges
And where are the Jets David? At least the Packers are in position to have a very bright future. The same cannot be said about Favre or your Jets. They're already starting to clean house.
Looks like that train was headed the wrong way
At 13-3 to 6-10, What's next 0-16.
Yeah 0-16 dipshit.
Brett Favre is my favorite player to watch. I still love watching him play and I hope he comes back.
Have fun watching him waffle and hem and haw this offseason. Followed closely by yet another tearful goodbye to football.
I sure am glad you love to watch him play...errrrr throw picks. Is that the same as watching the perverbial train wreck?
Getting Greener losers.......
"Vader your a moron."
Did you mean "you're" as in "you are" or "your" as in the possessive, meaning I own a moron? 'Cuz in that case, I think the moron is you, since I've owned you on these boards since my arrival.
Again with the murder of the King's English. Sheesh, please go grab a copy of an eighth grade English text. And rub rub rub your Starting Lineup Brett Favre figure.

Is it just me or does anyone else out there think that after the way Ted Thompson and Mike Mcarthy treat Brett Favre after 16 seasons (never having a losing season) in Green Bay to now be 5-7 and the jets who were 4-12 last year to be 8-4 and leading their division that this is poetic justice for these guys? I bet theyve had a lot of sleepless nights lol. Brett just keeps being Brett, Winning and having fun doing it and inspiring others! WoW?
